Frequently Asked Questions

What tattoos are your favorites to do?

I LOVE tattoos that include faces and/or abstraction and botanicals. Animals are also incredibly fun to do, as well as pop culture references and illustration and realism. Honestly, anything that lets me have fun and get creative is what I’m passionate for.

On this website, I include my own traditional art, as well as my tattoo work; generally anything that falls within those lines are what I love to do.

What is a Deposit for?

I require deposits for first time bookings and days that are much further in advance. The deposit is nonrefundable, but it does go towards securing your spot and your final amount. In the event that you need to cancel the day of or with less than 72 hours notice, your deposit is forfeit, and you’ll need to place another to be able to book again.

Do you work on other tattoos you didn’t make, or can you finish other people’s tattoo’s?

The short answer to this is no, I do not.

While there are certain exceptions, such as in cover up work or in adding fillers, I do not finish other work done by other tattooers. Everyone has a distinct style, and I cannot replicate another person’s style and guarantee that the piece will look attractive. We can certainly work together to rework or cover up preexisting tattoos, however.

I found a design/ tattoo I love online. Can you do it for me?

Being a tattoo artist with integrity, I cannot copy other artist’s work for several reasons.

I work best when following my own style and technique, but also, other artists and myself work hard to create designs custom tailored to individual clients. It is uncouth to copy their work for someone it wasn’t intended for, and besides, you wouldn’t want to have a matching tattoo with a stranger, right?

Copyright and culture also come into play with certain designs that I do not want to infringe upon. This being said, you are still absolutely welcome to present to me a mood board of other pieces for inspiration and reference; Although I will not copy directly, using references can help me understand the vibe and message you wish to convey in your own piece.

Are there any requests you decline?

I consider myself to be extremely flexible and adaptive. However, there are times in which I may decline requests.

For instance, wanting a tattoo on a body part such as the face and hands (Unless you already are very heavily tattooed or in an occupation/lifestyle that won’t be jeopardized by a tattoo on those locations.)

I do NOT accept requests that portray artwork or subject matter that includes racial terms, hate speech/imagery, or the like.

Furthermore, I do my best to work on pieces I am confident I can do for my clients, but if your request involves a style I am not overly familiar with or do not specialize in, I will politely decline and perhaps recommend another artist.

Do you allow the use of numbing cream or medications?

No; Numbing creams are incredibly dangerous to the health of the client and detrimental to the healing process of the tattoo, and rarely work in giving a proper numbing effect.

If you come in with numbing cream on, I may have to reschedule your appointment and forfeit your deposit if one was placed. This is to prioritize your safety, and the efficiency of the tattooing process.

I do offer a very weak and safe antiseptic/calming spray towards the end of the tattoo, but that is all.

I cannot tattoo any minors under the age of 18, pregnant or breastfeeding people, or anyone with a skin or medical condition that would be harmed by getting tattooed.

*Notice about repeat cancellations*

While I can understand and empathize with the fact that life can happen fast, and unexpected things can occur, if you’ve set an appointment with me and cancelled more than twice in a row, I will refuse to move forward with you as a client, as repeat behavior like this shows me that we may not be a good fit together, and my time and effort can go to someone else who will reciprocate. The same goes for “no call-no shows”.
